We are chained to fate, the moment we are born we age, we age gracefully or in our own ways. Yet we will one day leave this world and our legacy behind us. How we link those chains of life is up to each moment we live and how we choose to live them. I take this dark yet true theory and bring in a different perspective, even a beautiful creature can be made into something we can behold with wonder in a raw form.
I painted each line with small brush strokes on the deer skull no pens were used, and added a subliminal texture of natural earth tones. Topping it off with chains I use to make jewelry which are adhered with a special adhesive so they have staying power thy of brick and mortar.
This piece is on Gallery wrapped / heavy duty archival quality canvas, wood frame profile. Professional frame construction with kiln-dried beveled stretcher bars.
The edges are not painted but can be upon request.

I was born and raised in Corona Del Mar, surrounded by the artistic world that is Southern California. I never ended up going to school for art as sometimes life changes directions. I did find however that painting had chased me and caught up reminding me that once it's in your heart you can never leave it. So I began to create.....
