To keep my work would be selfish; I sell it with the hope of sharing even a sliver of the bliss and satisfaction that I get from painting.
My work is a conscious attempt to blur the lines between fine art and what is usually considered street art; doing so by bringing a highly measured, technically skilled approach to work inspired by street and counterculture.
Growing up in beautiful Northern California I was always interested in art but sports was my main focus. It wasn't until my last year of highschool that I began to tap into what I now see as my true self. About 6 years ago I bought a pair of white Nike Air Force 1s and an acrylic leather paint starter kit with. The intent was creating something new that wasn't currently the market to express myself and my creative vision. I soon found that painting was something which I thoroughly enjoyed and wanted to make a career out of. Taking advantage of social media and the increasing demand for one of a kind sneakers I was able to carve out a nice niche in the footwear industry and had consistent private orders from customers. I continued to push to limits as my painting abilities grew and this led to new opportunities. I have competed in live competitions across the US, worked as a live artist for events like Sneaker Con and the BET Awards as well as landing multiple piece commissions from large corporations. On top of this I have worked on pieces for several celebrities such as Cam Newton, the Curry family, The Rock, Thomas Davis and many others. As my name and reputation grew so did my craving for artistic exploration; I expanded from footwear into clothing, luxury goods, and large canvases/wood panel pieces. I did all of this while in school and playing competitive sports. My ability to graduate Cum Laude from Sonoma State University while running my own business speaks to my determination and commitment to my craft. I bring that work ethic and passion into everything I create.
