Ready to Hang
I created this piece to depict a stormy Sunday that brought to an end an entire weekend of stormy weather.
The reason I chose the title for this piece was not only that it accurately described the bleak weather we've had lately, but it also reflected the unsettled, frenzied feeling I sometimes gets as I sense the weekend coming to a close and the impending work week creeping closer.
My inspiration in creating this piece has been April showers and the anxiety of undone to-do lists!
This piece looks great in a space with a lot of natural light.
I create art as a release, as a vehicle for all the emotions and thoughts that are relevant but don't quite have a place in my common-sense, everyday life. Art allows me to address the irrational, add and subtract colors, work at the pace of ideas, and communicate in the unspoken language of art.
