Ready to Hang
Oftentimes in naming a piece, the artist has to surrender to the very first thing that comes to mind once it’s complete. It presents itself so quickly and effortlessly that you can’t deny it – even if you can’t really explain it. This is what happened with Debbie Gibson. Even this child of the 80s (who never listened to Debbie Gibson) is at a loss for explanation. Maybe it’s the colors?
This piece was created with pouring medium and acrylic paints. The painting extends to the sides. When you view this piece from a side angle, you see the ghostly impression of 2 faint circles.
No hardware attached for hanging, very light weight.
I create art as a release, as a vehicle for all the emotions and thoughts that are relevant but don't quite have a place in my common-sense, everyday life. Art allows me to address the irrational, add and subtract colors, work at the pace of ideas, and communicate in the unspoken language of art.
