Painting music and listening to art. I painted this piece while listening to Serge Rachmaninov No3. in D Minor1.My art is an imaginary world where I explore and define myself without any limits. Enjoy and watch it carefully.

My name is Jun Yang. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, I am an international artist with influences from the 9 countries I have lived in on 3 continents. San Francisco, my home for the past 8 years, inspires me and my art with its amazing cultural diversity, its celebrated urban landscape and natural beauty and the support and protection it provides me as an emerging artist. Working as a full-time artist in a Mission District studio, I want my art to reflect my experiences in this amazing city and to inspire the people who live here and visit it every day. I am versatile artist with a broad range of skill sets utilizing a wide variety of tools and materials to create art pieces in a variety of sizes and locations, including large and small scale murals. I have created murals in private residences in Korea and in San Francisco. I have also designed and painted large scale murals in bars and restaurants in Seoul, Korea. The diversity of influences in my life and work include cubism, modern art, mid-century American expressionism, contemporary pop art, European high fashion and global hip-hop culture. My work evokes emotions and refracts it through my use of space and colors. My art is fluid and natural with lots of movement through many different layers to capture the perfect hue and a dynamic fluidity in the final result. My art speaks to viewers in a universal way, transcending the need for common language. Each piece is incomplete until the viewers contribute their own contexts to the conversation. I studied Visual Design at Ho Seo University in South Korea and tourism at Abbey College Dublin, Ireland. I attended Fine Art for City College of San Francisco. I have participated gallery exhibitions with renowned local muralists and fine artists.
