This painting was produced rather spontaneously during the production schedule for my final show in 2015, Bettah Beta. Like many of the works in its series, it is a detached image overloaded with referential information, as a gesture of observation in response to the advent of global high speed communication, and a deep embrace of Jung's theories on the Universal Unconscious. Balancing fine line work with rugged, gestures keeps the piece suspended between in a fantasy between idealization and apathetic disregard... An important practice for me, considering the dark nature of its origins.
