Though he's known of much of my struggles, I'd only learned recently about one of his. It's a case of a psychoanalyst finding himself on the other side of the table. When he told me of the diagnosis and of his conflict in assessing its validity, I offered my insight, as a friend would... But I couldn't help but feel that the weight of the situation was beyond my capacity to comprehend. There was a dazzling sort of irony to it, only rendered more mysterious by his stoic delivery...
Julius Bautista is a Filipino-American Chicago based visual artist and USMC veteran passionate about science, psychology, and philosophy. Since pursuing a BFA at the University of Illinois at Chicago, he has worked in various artist collectives with the goal of increasing accessibility to the arts.
