Ready to Hang
The reason I chose the title for this piece is that the inspiration came from driving through farmland in the summer where blue birds were sitting on barbed wire fencing surrounded by wheat fields. I created this piece during the winter months while longing for those hot summer days with warm winds blowing through the fields of Eastern Washington where we have spent many summer vacations.
The Background is made up of White, Yellow Green, Ochre, and Yellow. I think that there is slightly more yellow green than the photo depicts. This is a bright and cheerful Painting that would add a spot of sunshine to any room.
I grew up in the San Juan islands of Washington State. Surrounded by a rich art culture, I developed a love for painting. Both self taught and informally educated, I primarily work in acrylic but from time to time you might find a watercolor or mixed medium piece. My works are not currently shown in a brick and mortar gallery, I have preferred to sell pieces through referral. When I discovered the Vango platform, I was thrilled. It seems to be a perfect venue to share my pieces with those looking for an original piece of art to bejewell their home or office. Artworks are like flowers, we should surround ourselves with them as they bring us joy. Bright and abstract makes me the happiest, so I hope that you will find a piece that can bring a smile to your face each time you pass it by. My art now hangs in private collections all over the US in cities such as New York, LA, Washington DC, Boston, Austin, Denver and San Juan Puerto Rico.
