My work is full of intense emotive expression. I hope that every one of my pieces carry with them the explosive intimate moment from which they were born; that they give life to the space they inhabit; that they remind us all of what is like to be alive in this amazing world.

An expressionist approaches the canvas as one might direct a symphony. Each stroke, or note, must be the least predictable coalescing to a curious work of both high energy and calm. Using a blend of low energy oils and acrylic, Alldredge's work is painted on classic deep decked canvases stretched with eight ounce linen. The finish is both collectibly classic and befitting of modern interiors. Joy Alldredge has been solely a career painter for 42 years. An early student of premiere watercolorist Ed Whitney, she discovered her gift to not just paint, but to express. Her work is widely published and has been a market force over the decades. At 72 years young, she her work shows the depth and maturity that can only be drawn from a prolific experience with her medium
