Through out my post education working years, I have traveled often. This piece was made during a time when I wasn't traveling but I knew it lied in the near future. My wife was pregnant, we lived in The Netherlands, the baby was to be born in Lithuania, I took a job in the US yet was to head for Toronto, and we were to live in California... all within a matter of months. In the end, things turned out just great. Yet the center piece of this painting is a goose, one which I had as a childhood pet. He followed my voice anywhere and everywhere and attacked viciously every other living thing on the planet. She died one night during a heavy windy rainy storm, and maybe I just was nervous about what lied in my near future.
