How and why do I create a painting is a big question? A short explanation starts with How. Preparation is key, canvases and canvas boards have to be prepared well in advance with Gesso. Once dry, the canvas is ready for painting.
Why do I love to paint? I have been painting for many years and can't get enough of it. I am thinking about my paintings most of the time "when and where will I be painting next, painting the elements plain air". I see beauty in the land, sea and air. I use sketches and a photographic memory to finish some of my work in the studio, tweaking a bit here and there. I have a big support network in Beatrix we have been married for 35 years. I teach voluntarily at All Saints C of E PrimarynSchool in Fulham London, age group 5 to 11 years.
President of The London Sketch Club, 1999-2000, Chelsea SW3, Member and Treasurer of The Small Paintinge Group with a membership of 35 eclectic and distinguished artists.
