A continuation of my guitar series. I love to listen to music while I work. I am a big fan of the blues and blues inspired music. I often find inspiration in music, though am not a musician. So I enjoy painting guitars. Also, working on this series has allowed me to be a little more experimental and free with how I paint. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of looking at them as I do and did in painting them.

My name is John Gibbs. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am a multi-talented artist currently working in Greensboro, NC. My paintings have been exhibited at a number of galleries in the triad area. I began my artistic career working at an art foundry in Michigan before moving to Chicago to work in the design field. While living in Chicago he began exhibiting paintings at galleries and festivals. I cofounded Super Duper Art Co., a gallery in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood before moving to Lancaster, PA. There, I was Artist in Residence at Keystone Art & Culture Center, a non-prot gallery and educational bronze foundry. At Keystone, I worked to establish the facilities, while exhibiting paintings and completing commissioned sculptures. My work was recognized by New American Paintings Magazine as a featured artist in issue #69, which represented artists of the Mid-Atlantic Region. I currently live and works in Greensboro, NC. My sculptures can be seen at sculptorjohngibbs.com
