This is an oil sketch from a mornings work that I painted last week at a fellow artists studio. The model Sara is a potter. She brought some of her unfinished pieces and tools with her. The model was actually finishing some work as we painted. She was relaxed. I loved how it did not feel posed or contrived. For me it was a really great painting session. I still wish I could have stayed longer to work on this, but I was happy with the gesture of the day.
