This piece is titled "Forsythia II" because it was painted inspired by a branch of forsythia. I painted this last spring for an interior designer, Atelier Designs, for a NYC showroom. There are 5 in the series, The Designer wanted something using golds, yellows and blacks - yet filled with light. I love the bright yellow color, with subtle grays and the arching branches.
