This is a all-prima (painted all at once) painting of a still life.
I created this piece right after my art opening where I received a gift of a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers from my favorite local greenhouse. Here in this painting, I focused in on these two magnificent peonies. I brought them outside to paint in the sunlight. While painting I focus just on the light and the affects of it, and let the flower unfold based on the patterns of light and shade.
My inspiration in creating this piece is this amazing delicate flower. I am so humbled by nature's beauty..
This is painted on Arches Archival Oil paper. It is designed to work with oils paper. This piece needs a frame.
