The room was filled with light and it was difficult to catch because of the constant shifting of it. This model has such an elegant back. The way the light hit her soft curls of her hair, her long arms and strong back make for a graceful structure the way the light hits it. For me this study works because of the value and the gestural titlt of the hips. Painted on Arches archival oil paper.
