Ready to Hang

A small painting I worked on and finished on a kind of lazy Sunday afternoon. This painting was enjoyable to make as there was just me working on the floor with my tools creating whatever came to mind. As often with my work, a dialogue begins and the painting directs me. The title came to me as I was reading an email from one of my gallery owners about a painting of mine that just sold. "Woot woot" is the celebratory phrase used nowadays in my inner circle. Sides painted black. Wired and ready to hang. Varnished to protect against dust and sunlight.
