Ready to Hang
This painting is one of a few botanical themed pieces I've done. The abstracted elements work well with the movement of the "vines" in the piece.
This is a painting I did a couple of years ago when I was reconnecting with making art after a long abscence. I just went with what I was feeling at the moment with mark making and creating shapes. The colors work very well together. Green is a very calming (and unused) color in my work so this was somewhat uncharted territory for me. The painting speaks of new beginnings and how life is chaotic until things start to come into focus. It is in a wood-stained floater frame and ready to hang.
