One of my favorite painters is Cy Twombly who's work I have admired for some time. The freedom of mark making in his work is truly inspiring to me as it basicly abandons all "norms" of the artworld. I felt relaxed making this piece as it just evolved over a couple of days of work...no expectations and no game plan. It was AWESOME!! Sides are painted black and varnished to protect against sunlight and dust. Wired on the back for hanging.
