This painting reminds me of winters cold grip. Growing up in Michigan I remember those frigid winter days with the snow outside. The colors though are so pretty as the sunlight hits the snow. You can see the glistening sparkle and the blues, and purples . Highlights of white and gold added . Lots of texture with my palette knife all over the canvas. Layers and layers of paint.
Size 24 x 24 x aprox. 1 inch in depth with sides painted in background colors so no need for a frame unless you choose that option. Acrylic and a touch of oil paint make up this painting.
I have been painting since I picked up my first paint brush at age 10 and found my passion. Fast forward to my twenties when I worked as a bank teller in the drive up window ...and I found myself sketching the trees across the street in Rochester, Michigan and thus my love for painting trees began that evening when I went home and did my first tree oil landscape from those sketches . I dreamt of the day I could stay home and just paint and those dreams came true !! I feel very blessed! These days you can find me in my studio with my little dog Ivy by my side every day. Living an hr from Yosemite in beautiful Northern California gives me inspiration just gazing out my window. Selling on the internet these past 11 years has been awesome, I have been fortunate to have sold over 1000 paintings . If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Have a wonderful day and feel Gods blessings all around you! He is the ultimate artist, wouldn't you say??
