This unique piece is edition 23/50 of the limited edition painting series, "Portraits of Strange Amazing Strangers" The series is a collection of 50 different portraits done on book pages. Each portrait* is unique to strangers I met or spoke with while traveling from 2014-2015. This particular piece is a man I met in San Francisco. He spoke as if there were two of him... always contradicting his prior statement. He was an interesting stranger from the road.
The series is unique only to the one book of which each of the 50 paintings were created on, and no prints have been made.
Born in 1986 Jennifer Charboneau is an energetic U.S. artist with roots from the bustling city of Minneapolis. Since 2008 she has traveled to 21 different countries and lived in 3. She lives and breaths as a nomadic artist. Her creative process begins from obsessive observation of all the diverse places she wanders through. What begins as chaotic scribbles and sketches (mostly done while on the road) later become chaotic yet refined visual philosophies highlighting personal, subjective experience. Some muses that influence her artwork across all borders are: impressionism. expressionism. street art. nature. philosophy. music. haiku & prose poetry. and people watching. She is a visual philosopher who is out to absorb all that this life has to show… then spit it out onto canvas and paper as chaotically and yet beautifully as it was first observed. website: jcharboneau.com NOTE: ALL J.CHARBONEAU ARTWORKS ARE ORIGINAL AND NO PRINTS HAVE EVER OR WILL EVER BE MADE.
