This is mainly layered acrylic art with a few fun details. I cut one Styrofoam ball and glued spraying one with a gold paint which broke it down and created a moon like feel. This painting represents emotional disturbance and the versatility of polarities and how extreme they can be depending on the effects different surroundings have on people. Both the foam halves were cut from one ball yet once remained in tact , blending with the environment, while the other one was greatly effected by the medium used on it its properties were changed, the half of the ball can never be whole again.
I am a self taught artist, I learned everything I know through trial and error and love using acrylic paint due to how forgiving it is in terms of making mistakes into visions better than the original, or at least for me. I use versatile materials to create my art, usually things like : Melted crayon wax on glass or adding beads or sparkles to acrylic paint to give it texture and create a pop art effect of sorts. The reason I like to use random materials is because they inspire me and bring new ideas to light that I would have never thought of just looking at a regular blank canvas and some paints. Art is so subjective, anything made with passion and natural flow is art in my opinion :)
