I created this piece in response to the ever-changing landscape. Construction of new neighborhoods and the expansion of my community inspired me to capture nature's beauty within an altering setting. The textured land is cracking, dripping and changing while the tree stands strong.
This painting was created using a variety of painting techniques including palette knife painting, impasto, wet-on-wet and washes. This gives the work variety and visual interest.
