This painting depicts a dream-like scene of a birds soaring above layers of rich textured clouds. The clouds appear to be melting, dripping into the watery abyss below. I used subtle acrylic glazing mixed with opaque applications of acrylic to achieve a variety blues and blue violets.

She prefers acrylic paint due to the versatile nature of the media and the ability to accomplish a range of effects with different techniques. She enjoys traveling and draws a lot of inspiration from places she visits and artists she encounters. When she's not painting or teaching, she is spending time with her husband and one-year old son.
