I'm surrounded by beautiful and open fields. Sometimes the light is so perfect, it makes the fields glow like gold.
In the Spring/Summer of 2017 my paintings started to evolve and become more abstract. My interest during this time has been a focus on line, color and shapes and how they add movement in a piece. Although these pieces feel fresh and new to me, they come about by much more thought to get the piece to work. I am thrilled with the direction my work is going in - they have a new energy and spirit.

Although Jacquie's formal education was in Business, art has always been a big part of her life and in 2000 she focused on learning to paint. She spent years painting on her own and created smaller plein-air landscapes. This process and self-discipline gave her the best education on light and color. She built upon this knowledge and began creating abstract landscape paintings continuing her focus on color. Her paintings are collected in US, Canada and Europe and she has had prints available in Pottery Barn, Neiman Marcus and TJMaxx. In 2016 she was invited to become a member of Art in Embassies and has a painting included in an exhibit at the residence of the US Ambassador to Monrovia, Liberia.
