This piece is a 8 layer spraypaint stencil of a waterfall near Roanoke, Virginia, that took two months to cut and spray. Even though there are only five values, there is an interesting amount of texture in the piece;moss and water are easily visible. The eye moves from the waterfalls to the pools of water to the mossy rocks. The piece is very dynamic and contains a lot of movement, and yet is very calming. The borders of the canvas have been painted black, it does not need to be framed.

My name is Jack Sigler. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am an 18 year old living in Maryland, but originally from Alaska. I've been drawing all my life and I'm now starting to share my art with others. I love working in pencil, colored pencil, acrylic, and spraypaint stenciling. I do mostly landscapes of large and dynamic scenes. I paint the sides of all of my canvases black or white, they do not need to be framed.
