In this piece I was practicing my technique of creating the color of a layer through several layers of color instead of just one. The color gradient is soft, and each layer slowly disappears into the mist. The polygon adds interest to the piece. it contrasts with the smooth lines, blending and blue color of the mountains with it's bright yellow coloring and sharp lines. The eye moves from the polygon to the trees on the foreground and rolls back into the distance with the hills. The piece is visually interesting to look at, but gives off a calm, wondrous feeling.
My name is Jack Sigler. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am an 18 year old living in Maryland, but originally from Alaska. I've been drawing all my life and I'm now starting to share my art with others. I love working in pencil, colored pencil, acrylic, and spraypaint stenciling. I do mostly landscapes of large and dynamic scenes. I paint the sides of all of my canvases black or white, they do not need to be framed.
