I call my art "heartwork" because anybody can create art, but it takes a true artist to create "heartwork."
I create art because I'm passionate about art. In the future, I want to add more patent concepts on the side and back of my canvases, which would give the art a new atmosphere to viewers. I want to be a trendsetter. Often, I wake up with ideas about painting and simply can't afford art supplies, so I add the painting ideas into my stories just like I'd do fashion or any other dreamlike thought that occurs. I've done many stories, but in one of them, I talked about how on the back of a canvas, theres a mahogany door attached with three door hinges screwed in on the side, so that it can open. The door is well painted as well as the original back of the canvas.
When I paint, I consider myself bigger than the best. In doing so, I have to constantly work harder than I've ever done. No work I'll ever do will be perfect, so I can always push myself higher to create better paintings. I believe that creating more than one of the same painting makes that specific piece no longer rare. Making paintings is like telling a story, memorizing it, rewriting it without looking at what you originally wrote, and realizing there's some elements that are different about the piece. Just because you can't paint everything the same doesn't mean you're not a true artist just like I could've painted natural disaster prevention ideas on the back of the canvas. Shall such "save the world" ideas make the painting more valuable or are people still more focused on the painting?
My name is Isaiah Joshua Lawrence, a 2016 graduate at Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema Arts and Science. I've been fascinated with painting for a long time, but am aware of how expensive such supplies can be. Often, I edit beats, work on short films, and write stories and poems. The Romanticism Era ended in the 18th century and I personally believe that love doesn't die. I call my art "heartwork," which represents love as well as other genres like horror and fantasy.
