Ready to Hang

This big painting is 24" wide by 30" tall by 1.5" deep. It is painted in acrylic paint on stretched canvas, with deep sides, and has been painted all the way around the edges so that it is ready to hang as-is. It has been professionally strung with hanging wire on the back.

The title of this piece is: Magical Midnight Gathering

I love how the forest has this sense that anything can happen there under cover of night… worlds intersect, magic is possible, everything is alive and connected. The tree roots move across and beneath the earth like the veins of the forest, communicating with each other and every being, bringing life to every nook and cranny.

This painting is a musing on that ethereal place where a girl might go to visit old friends who have moved on - secret and safe, calm and beautiful - where her friends' souls still glow with life and love.

This painting will be meticulously and carefully packed for you to ensure its safety in the mail!

Isadora grew up in the Bay Area, just outside of San Francisco. She credits her exposure to the diverse musical, cultural and artistic influences of the area for her bold artistic style, often including touches of tattoo and/or rockabilly aesthetics. She studied Art Studio and Creative Writing at the University of California, Davis, where she had her art displayed in several shows and venues. While Isadora diverted from fine art for a time, working in the graphic design industry, she has exuberantly returned to it full-time. A lifelong animal lover, Isadora regularly enjoys painting animal portraits, again infusing a colorful, alternative style to many of her portraits. She lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband and three children, where she paints daily with her dogs by her side.
