This is a one of a kind painting!

A sad girl in the nude, crying in a shallow pool of water in the darkness. Moonlight shining on her. Painted this on another sleepless night. Emotions many of us can relate to.

Painted on cotton stretched canvas. I did this in acrylics and finished in clear satin varnish to protect from fading, smoke, smudges, fingerprints, dust, etc. Painted on all sides.

Iris is a self-taught Artist born in El Salvador and raised in the U.S., on the East Coast. She currently resides in TX, with her daughter. Iris enjoys doing and experimenting with different things, so you will see a variety of subjects, color and styles in her artwork. She finds art and beauty in even the most simple things. Art, travel and reading are her true passions. As a kid. she would always doodle and sketch. In her home, Art was strongly discouraged by her family. But Iris never lost interest. However, it wasn't until much later in life that she took an interest in painting. An artist she met along the way, encouraged her to put her work"out there", for others to enjoy. So here she is now. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
