'Pearl Fishers' is part of a series inspired by the Masters.
The pearl a symbol of beauty, wisdom and hope acquired through experience. A celebration of Alessandro Allori.

The relationship between the abstract and the figurative is an essential element of my art. My work often reverts to a monochromatic palette, employing a calligraphic line to maintain the spiritual sensibility of my subject.

Heidi Lanino is a figurative abstract painter from New York with a strong base in gestural drawing influenced by the transformative nature of movement. She creates work that embodies the freedom and sensuality of her subject with an intuitive immediacy. She earned her BFA from Pratt Institute and was the winner of the Pratt National Talent Search, receiving a full scholarship. As an art director for L’Oréal, she honed her aesthetic for beauty and design. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and abroad, represented in numerous private collections, and featured in several prominent institutions, including Orange Reginal Medical Center, Orange County Trust, the Blue Hill Center, The Gibbes museum, Artsy, and SaatchiArt. Her artistic practice includes drawing, sculpture, ceramics, teaching and community installations. She lives and works in the Hudson Valley with her husband and two sons.
