"Reflection" is an abstract version of a structure being reflected. I love this idea of how when we focus on a reflection it allows us time to be more thoughtful.
Heather has two degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia; BFA and BSed for Art K-12. She taught high school art for six years and then ran a successful mural business for two years. In 2002, Heather began creating original paintings. She has exhibited her work in the Forest Park Community College Art Gallery as well as the William Woods University Mildred Kemper Art Gallery. She has participated in various art fairs throughout the region including Brookside Art Festival in Kansas City, MO as well as Belleville Art Fair in Belleville, IL; both highly ranked art fairs. Heather’s work can also be found in private and corporate collections. Her paintings are made up of acrylic paint, a texture medium called Wood Icing and sometimes various other materials including but not limited to; mica flakes, glitter, metallic paint, and foil flakes. Wood is her preferred surface to paint on because she needs a rigid surface for her rigorous painting style.
