My work is informed by the monotony of humanity. I am interested in the psychoanalytical, emotional, and existential conditions of humans in our world today. My work is a culmination of oil paint, spray paint, acrylic, and whatever medium I deem necessary for a particular concept. The use of color, texture, and emotive gesture of the model create a mood for the painting whether it is bliss, nostalgia, or rage. I enjoy painting the expressive faces and interactions of people as well as the representations of civilization through still life. By painting the figures from life, the work becomes a documentation of the experience. The subjects I paint are therefore immortalized in my documentaries of humanity.
