This model had an angular and sinewy form- a feminine figure but with a hardness to her curves. She kept her face turned away in shadow but wasn't shy about her body. She was at ease for the pose, but sat like someone who finds it difficult to let her mind and body relax.
Originally from NJ, having lived in both Philadelphia and then NYC, I've been lucky to live with constant stimulants and a changing landscape that always leaves room for new perspective and inspiration. I studied fashion, fine art and art history, so I'm partial to exploring form- the figure, portraits, nudes, etc. I like to experiment. My creative time is split between designing bespoke apparel (heatherroyal.com) and fine art- usually studies or personal exploratory pieces. After several commissions and an expanding portfolio I hope to share and find new homes for my work. While I love developing more traditional pieces, I've warmed to creating other expressive, abstract and multimedia work, letting the designer part of my brain take the reigns.
