Ready to Hang
My recent work is of abstracted flowers utilizing collage and layers and layers of texture. Here I combine bits of my lino cut prints mixed with paper, ink, pencil and acrylic all on canvas. I like how the texture draws the viewer into the piece.

Hannah Rosenberg has always had a love of creating "something from nothing" and working with her hands. She studied apparel design at Drexel University which took her creative ability and turned it into a profession. Outside of work Hannah worked as an artist, notably creating a series of miniature metal sculptures. After ten years living in New York, her career took her to California where she worked as both an apparel designer and product designer. Hannah continued to pursue her artwork in the edges and corners of her days. Her artwork began to evolve dramatically when she secured studio space at Mark Drive Studios in San Rafael, California. There she met a supportive community of artists and she finally had a dedicated space to work and experiment with materials. She moved away from sculpture and moved to creating two dimensional pieces. Her first pieces created at Mark Drive Studios harkened back to her apparel design roots, in crept the use of thread, stitching and fabrics, mixed with paper and paint. As she continued to experiment, her work became rich with texture, color and depth. She started to use simple, recycled materials, challenging herself to evolve them into something beautiful.
