The reason I chose the title for this piece is actually a funny story. Since most of my artwork is nude, I didn't want my friends to think that I was sexualizing them by using their names. So I use names that you don't hear that often that made me think of my piece. Sorry if one of my paintings is named after a relative of yours.
My inspiration in creating this piece is the human body, as is most of my work, and the colors and shapes that it comes in.
The human body is beautiful in all its colors and shapes. I hope that one day my art inspires someone in their art or even their self-esteem, as past great artists have inspired me.
My name is Haley Gray. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. When I was a little girl my mother took me to art museums and galleries, in hopes of me gaining experience and culture outside of small town Texas. The first thing I say when it comes to a painting is "Mommy, why are they naked?" Thinking quickly on her feet, she says to me "it's because the human body is perfect, and the hardest thing for an artist to recreate. You have to be a great artist to be able to paint the human body." As a child I marveled at the thought: "The human body is perfect." As I grew up in my own body and art work, this phrase remains true. The human body is beautiful in all its colors and shapes. I hope that one day my art inspires someone in their art or even their self-esteem, as past great artists have inspired me.
