This piece is from my Greek Gods Series. The Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of the titan Helios or the personification of the sun. Considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world it stood for over 50 years before it collapsed in an earthquake. I tried to image what it would have looked like after it's collapse leaving only the legs from the knees down. This piece is worked using acrylic paints and pallet knife. Piece is signed and stamped on the reverse.
I live and work in New York City. I am constantly looking at movement through space. This gives an organic feel to my works.
