My process comes from a variety of techniques I've learned and studied over the years.
I am a mixed media artist. I use oil paint, acrylic paint, spray paint and sometimes household paint in nearly all of my paintings.

Gabriel Luckey- a Mexican American artist born in San Angelo, Texas in 1983. Luckey has been painting professionally since 2006. He is a mixed media artist that incorporates acrylic, oil paint, marker and spray paint in his paintings. Alone in the genre in which he calls “Culture Rock”. His influences range from traditional artists like Diego Rivera, and Pablo Picasso to pop artists such as Andy Warhol and James Gill. Gabriel’s appreciation for the arts began as a child. However, pencil sketching was the extent of it for many years until he met famed artist Rene’ Alvarado. Luckey began working with Alvarado in 2005, and it was then that his love for paint and canvas began. Gabriel’s journey as an artist began as an expressionist. His work remained in that genre until 2013; around that time he began to notice the art that covered street walls and buildings. Luckey began his own studies of “Street Art” following people like Banksy and Robbo and it was then that “Culture Rock” was born which is the collaboration of his Latino Roots and early expression studies, Influenced with modern techniques, vibrant hues and sexy imaging of the street culture. Luckey’s hope for his art is that people walk away feeling refreshed and invigorated. He jokes that it’s delightfully tacky, yet unrefined. Let the feeling of excitement and comfort come over your mind and body as Gabriel Luckey takes us all on a journey of visual bliss.
