For a period of fifteen years (1987 - 2002) I used paint as a method of catharsis to express emotions in a raw manner, using the figure as a very loose metaphor. During this period, I created a volume of approximately 350-400 works on canvas and paper most of which have never been seen before! The primary medium for most of these works was oil paint, however between 1996 to 2002, I started to experiment and use acrylic paint to create some of these works. The examples uploaded on VANGO bring you a selection of these works, ranging in time during these years.
