Ready to Hang

I began a series of photos around the subject matter of decomposing bikes. These bikes are those that are locked and left for dead. Forgotten, they somehow reduce in size and become bent, rusty, and without parts. Bike Worms combines several thoughts regarding natural decomposition and the role that worms play.

Chris is a professional artist with an emphasis in paint and ink. His creativity and interest in design began as a child in Wyoming where he was encouraged to submit artwork to local art and craft competitions. He studied art and architecture at the University of Wyoming and would later return to school to complete his Bachelors Degree in Fine Art at the University of Colorado at Denver. Soon after receiving his BFA, he exhibited landscapes and still-life paintings for a solo show at the Grand Salon in Denver. He moved to Philadelphia in 2004, where he displayed paintings and drawings at numerous venues, including a solo exhibit in 2005, titled "Ink & Paint" at Benna's Cafe. He also gained Best-In-Show in 2006, for a submission to Afif Gallery's themed exhibit, "Booze Stories." Chris has been working as a PGA golf professional in New Jersey and Maryland for the last decade. His focus has transitioned back to his artwork and collaboration with his wife and two boys. Chris most recently exhibited a solo show at Gryphon in Wayne Pennsylvania. Chris' art can be found in private collections in nine states across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
