The reason I chose the title for this piece is obvious, Marilyn is a classic Hollywood icon.
I love "Old Hollywood" , the glamor, the mystery, the truly unique stars of the silver screen. Marilyn is truly one of the most beloved of that era.
I created this piece and several others to capture that wonderful magic of a time when out stars seemed larger than life.
My inspiration in creating this piece came after re-watching several black and white movies. Painting in black and white was a way of challenging my artist spirit.
The edges of the canvas are painted therefore not needing a frame

The basic fact is " I PAINT", everything else doesn't really matter , but it's there if you care to read it. And yes , I did run away to the South Pacific for a few years.
