"The golden field", acrylic, acrylic markers and spray on canvas, 200X400 cm (78X157 inches)
This second extra large size landscape painting was made during another large scale art performance, in June 2016.
I was inspired by the fields though the woods, in the valley near my troglodytic house. I wanted to paint the luminous color of the wheat field in the sun light. The trunks of trees are made with transparent colors, which allows the painting to be very luminous.
I've used high quality brand Liquitex acrylic markers and sprays. More views from the work in progress on my personal website.
Due to the size, the painting is sent UNSTRETCHED, rolled in a tube. A professional framer will easily replace the canvas on a frame. There are blank edges to facilitate it.
It also may be stuck or mounted to the wall as wall papers.
My paintings and drawings are rather figurative.
Main time, I use my imagination and my memory, because I like the freedom of evocation. But I also work with photography. I am interested with male and female nudes, landscapes, forests, flowers, human figure, still life. Imagination, dream, fantasy or memory, never mind : I am looking for the poesy.
I use a lot of technics on canvas and paper: oil, watercolor, ink, watersoluble pencils, acrylic, acrylic markers, colored pencils, mixed media...I like graphism in the painting. And glazes too ! I often use transparent colors.
I am very interested by the richness of transparency in the painting. The old glazes oil technic is now available with the layers of beautiful high quality acrylics.
I am a french professional painter. All my artworks are original paintings and drawings, direct from my studio in Touraine. For as long as I can remember, I have always painted and drew. I have studied experimental cinema and engraving at the Institut d'Arts Visuels of Orléans, France. My favorite practice, in cinema, was to draw the story-boards ! I get an Art School High Diploma in 1989. I began painting in 1994. I regularly exhibit my painting in collective or solo shows. I also often participate (and win) in big size painting compétitions, in France. I am also a lyrical mezzo singer in the professionnal choir from Opera of Tours, France.
