I love birds and especially Creepers as they can walk up and down trunks of trees in any direction.
This is an india ink painting using a wet in to wet method. While the profile of the bird may be the same, the way the ink moves in and around the water allows for a very unique pattern so no two are ever the same.
This is professionally framed with a museum mat and plexiglass. The mat and frame are a warm white.
Teacher and painter Elizabeth B. Tucker began drawing and painting when her husband gave her an easel as a gift. Seeking a classical tradition, she studied at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA), Art Center College of Design, and privately with Ryan Wurmser, Aaron Westerberg. Whether working in oils or in charcoal, Elizabeth is interested primarily in how light moves and wraps around objects. Elizabeth is a juried member of the Pasadena Society of Artists and Women Painters West, a Certified Instructor in the School of Colour, and is the president of the Angeles Crest Art Guild. She has won several awards for her work.
