Ready to Hang
In 2012 I made the decision to move to California. I had never lived together with my girlfriend at the time, Dana, and there was a looming cloud of worry and anxiety leading up to the trek. My family was skeptical, at best, about our decision to quit our jobs and leave everything we ever knew behind is search of the west coast. My own anxieties compounded; What if we can't find work? What if we aren't able to live together amicably? What if we run out of money? It's been 4 years since then and Dana and I have never been happier with the decisions I made.
"Dana in Denver" was painted at our stop in Denver, CO. and represents the mix of fear, joy, worry, and excitement with our trip across the country.
