The reason I chose the title for this piece was because I like going to the beach, and this reminded me of the beach.
I created this piece using different styles and different media. The white curve is crushed eggshells that I washed and dried first. I glued the shell down. The red was painted with a spatula, and the black jellyfish was dripped with white, and then swirled. The other colors were swirled first, then I turned the canvas to make the drip look.
My inspiration in creating this piece was for my love of nature. You could interpret this to be the birth, life, and death of the jellyfish. The red is the birth, the black is the life, and the yellow is the beach, or the death of the jellyfish.
This is all one piece, with black painted borders.
Hi. My name is Eric Barnes. Everything I do, I do for my wife and daughter. They are my angels. Painting is so fun and relaxing. I get so much pleasure from it, and I get so excited when I finish a piece, knowing that someone will be putting it on their wall. Thank you for looking, and I hope you will like my art.
