I enjoyed the colors of this one, and the wild flow of the mane. The splatter patterns of this one somewhat make him appear to be splashing through puddles and flinging water droplets from his mane. Horses are my favorite subject, and I enjoy finding new ways to create them.

I was born in the mountains, but my heart is here on the prairies of North Dakota. I grew up around horses, and they are one of my greatest passions, as well as one of my greatest influences in my art. Besides horses and art, I love good movies, good books, and writing. I also drink a ridiculous amount of honey-sweetened tea, and sometimes I forget to eat. I've been drawing and otherwise creating art for as long as I can remember. My favorite mediums are graphite pencil, oil paints, soft pastel, clay, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and recently watercolor. I usually strive for realism, but lately I have been dabbling in art that is a little more abstract. The art I create may be inspired by horses, something I notice in the world around me, or a thought generated by the wild wanderings of my imagination.
