What are the objects people leave behind and what do they say about the people that owned them? There is so much beauty in handmade objects or objects that are heavily used and it's an artists challenge to bring out those qualities.
While I call myself a figurative painter, I also enjoy abstraction in the form of pure raw marks left by charcoal or reckless strokes of paint. Order and chaos make for a balanced painting, or at least that is what I continually strive to make.

Elizabeth illustrated, ‘Stop This Birthday’ published by Chronicle Books in 2005 and she sits on a small stack of unpublished illustrations: Folk tales, myths and stories of everyday magic. Elizabeth is in love with English Bulldogs and contributes regularly to Georgia English Bulldog Rescue. A great source of joy is a career of teaching art to Pre-School, Elementary and Middle School Students.
