I felt very luck to get to paint this dancer from Taos Pueblo. He and his family have a dance troupe that travels the world sharing their culture. He wore his full dancing outfit for this art modeling session.
"A British trained artist, Elizabeth Jose moved to Taos, New Mexico in 2005 and immediately, and inexpicably, felt at home; the wide open skies and massive landscapes of Northern New Mexico contrasted sharply with her London roots. "It's still feels like a luxury to paint in the bright clear light of the 300+ days of sunshine we get here every year." Trained as a portrait artist, Jose has immersed herself in the plein aire landscape tradition of the Southwest and has become well-known for her paintings of vintage trucks and airstream trailers as well as for her portraits and figurative work."
