I consider myself a reactionary artist, focusing on the process of painting and the energy in creating. The forms create the conversation; each mark informing the next. This abstract exploration of the medium as my subject matter allows me to intuitively respond to past memories and experience. I capture the essence of my moments, both transitory and eternal. Each painting tells a personal story while still engaging and relating to the viewer.
Focusing on both psychological and technical aspects of her work, Elaina Posey is interested in the process of painting and how the viewer relates to her subject matter. Color, form, spatial relationships and every day experience inspire her most recent bodies of work. Her pieces have been exhibited in many galleries along the east coast including Sykes Gallery at Millersville University (Millersville, Pa.), Sunshine Art & Design (Lancaster, Pa.), Hess Gallery at Elizabethown College (Elizabethtown, Pa.) and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (Philadelphia, Pa.).
