I am a self-taught artist from Philadelphia PA. My work is largely informed by my background in psychology and philosophy. My paintings are brought to life as tangible manifestations of thought, emotion, myth and perception. My technique stands in stark counterpoint to the abstract and ephemeral subject matter. Utilizing heavily textural processes, and often incorporating alternative media and objects within the canvas, my paintings display a definitive physicality which serves to anchor the piece in the tangible world, and provide the viewer a concrete bridge to enter the conceptual world within. Even my landscapes, largely drawn from imagination are an expression of my inner perceptions. To date my work has been featured in numerous shows locally in Philadelphia, and has been purchased by collectors both in the US and internationally.
